Travel in Motion describes the modern Order layer as the system that must preserve what was sold across servicing, refunds, disruption handling, delivery and settlement. Its proposed model replaces fragmented PNR, ticket and EMD views with an extensible Order that can be accessed through APIs, events and batch interfaces, while acknowledging that the legacy PSS must coexist during a staged transition.
